Quote of the Week! #DecemberWonderings

Now, the amazing spider-man is like one of my all-time favourites, mainly because it takes you on a roller-coaster ride through the film and well, there’s also Andrew Garfield to take into account.

When I came across this quote yesterday I was above and beyond the moon. But it also made me think. Like really think, what secrets do I hold? I realised (well not really, more like the thought came from the back to the forefront of my mind) that it’s true that we all hold secrets. Secrets of the heart, secrets from others, about others, because of others, but most importantly because of ourselves because we don’t want to hurt those around us or be a burden.

I want to be more of the number of secrets I hold. I need to be aware of how many potentially dangerous ones I hold, and why I hold them, are they that precious? I don’t want to have too many secrets close to my heart as it causes a shadow to be caste and I really would prefer to be as much as an open book as I can. When you have secrets, it’s a lot harder to be truthful, to be yourself because you are always guarding what others don’t know. Maybe it comes from a desire to be loved, or the fact that I've seen relationships where there were too many secrets and that ultimately broke down and failed with neither party coming out with the best results.
