Friendship with a Guy #DecemberWonderings

My dear friend makes friends with people very easily. She has a tendency to treat everyone as a bestie you could say. I love the fact that you can still get such kindness in the world that we live in today. However, due to her disposition and lack of social knowledge, the issue of having friends with guys. Now because she is super friendly, when she talks to guys or becomes a closer friend with them, it seems as if she is flirting. And because of this I and some of my other friends thought we should sort the situation out. In trying to sort out the situation, it came to my attention, why can’t a girl be close to a guy? If the guy is in a secure relationship, and neither party has any agenda to be with the other person, I don’t see the reason why they can’t be good friends. When you get into a relationship, you and your significant half should have the foundation where you can talk with anyone and the other person won’t worry. If everyone built their relationship on this kind of foundation, there wouldn’t be this discussion. But it also raises the question, why can’t a guy and girl just be friends? When you’re just a friend, you see the other person in a sibling light despite their gender, so what’s wrong with being close? Why is it that society prohibits how we behave around others while giving very stupid expectations that contradict the restrictions that are imposed in the first place? Why is society so confusing?
