A Catch Up
Id like to
start off by saying hi. How you doing? I do hope you’re doing well, if not
hopefully this post will be a light to brighten up your day.
So, recently
I have been extremely busy as I explained in my last post. Through all the
hustle and bustle I came across a number of posts in which I found quite
inspirational (though some are from my drafts and have been laying there since
the beginning of the year).
Inspirational
The space you take up.

It’s a video
that completely changes your perspective on the way you look at life. When I
watched it, it really made me stop and think about how I look at my own life.
AConMann – Connor Manning
This guy I believe
has not got enough recognition. He’s clever and looks at things from a
completely different angle. Many YouTuber’s don’t like to touch on touchy
topics or really share their intellectual feelings. Connor does exactly this
and it’s a refreshing. His videos truly open my eyes to topics that I wouldn't usually
think about. His video called ‘How to Get Things Done’ (I would say) is a great video to watch to get a feel
of why I like him.
Theodora Lee
Well if you don’t
know her, she’s the older sister of the YouTube sensation Caspar Lee (she on
the other is somewhat more serious though). Her videos aim to help people
though she still has a lot of fun. Here are some of my favs of her videos :)
Faith
I happened
to come about this site when I found a cover of All Sons & Daughters on
YouTube. So I decided to visit their site and found that it was great! It’s a magazine
company but they have quite a few of their articles online. They have many
different topic themes and issues that reach out to all ages and types of
people. It’s a site worth checking out.
Jefferson Bethke
Now for my
more religious side ;) I happened to find this guy out of the blue but I thank god
that I did. He is one of those people who you need to have in your life. He makes
you question yourself (in a good way) on whether or not you are practicing your
faith in a way that Jesus would want you to, in a way that the bible teaches
you to. The first video of his that I watched was about how you read your bible
and it was an eye opener. It reminded me of something I've always known but
just didn't acknowledge. It was a mini revelation, and it wasn't the last one. Each
and every video he creates adds to my knowledge and helps me grow in my faith
and as a person.
Word 4 u 2day – daily devotional
I used to
use a daily devotional called YP’s which is aimed at pre-teens. I was beginning
to grow out of it as I felt I could no longer relate to the topics in which
were presented so I went in search for another daily devotional. I found one
called Mettle which was basically a step up from YP’s, but I also something a
bit … more. My mum reads a devotional called ‘Word for You Today’ which is
aimed at adults, but looking at the back I found that they had one aimed at the
younger generation. So I went online and found that I could read the devotional
online for free which was brilliant. I feel that the topics presented are great
for my development in my faith as they are slightly maturer (I know that’s not
a word) as they were aimed more towards young adults/Uni students but are still
pretty relevant to me.
The Anima Series
– YouTube
My dear
friend recommended me to watch this and I’m glade she did. It’s (I believe) a
spoken word which is very truthful and honest. It’s definitely worth looking at
