Quote of the Week #DecemberWonderings
I know this post is considerably late in
comparison to when I've been posting usually, but at least I got one up! So for
this week, it is yet another reflective quote that I have found.
I think that the greatest thing about
this quote that it acknowledges that life is hard, loving God is hard, being
fixed is hard. Many times when people are told about Christianity, they forget
to highlight the difficult parts, the parts where you sit in your room in a
corner and just cry out your broken heart. And in that moment let out all you frustrations
to God, even sometimes act as if you know best and what has happened is unjust.
Living a life for Jesus is not all sunshine and rainbows, but rather its likes
what through waist deep mud. Its making sacrifices that you don’t want to make
for the Glory of God because he gave up everything for you, paid all your debts
when he died the death he did not deserve. But despite all this, he still loves
us and he will fix the broken pieces left behind because of sin.
I honestly don’t know how to end this
post, but know that loving God is no easy, it’s a hard journey but it’s a
journey worth travelling because at the end of it you grow so much mentally,
physically, spiritually, that you won’t regret a thing. God doesn’t want to
'fix' you as per say, but rather put the pieces that are already there back
together again so that we are whole.
Ellah xx
