Just a Thought
What is my worth? That’s a thought that always comes to
mind. What’s my worth in my mother’s eyes? My fathers? My brother? My friends? What
my worth in my eyes? I am worth the world? Love? Am I worth nothing? What about
those around me, are they worth more or less? Are we all worth nothing? What about
those out there who are sold for their bodies? Are they worth less than me or
more? Am I worth the same but am just lucky not to be in their position? Most importantly,
what am I worth in God’s eyes? Am I worth nothing because of my selfishness and
sin? Or am I worth everything because I am His creation? The answer is yes, I AM
worth everything because he made me out of love. He knew me before I was born
and despite my rebellion against Him, he still loves me. He even sent his only
Son to forgive my sins because he deems me worthy. Why should I ever consider
myself less than He who is perfect? Why should I listen to those around me who
will always find a way to make be turn and judge myself when I am already
perfect? The only time you should ever change is to better your life, not in a
superficial way, but a spiritual enhancing way. Whether it’s eating healthier
(not dieting – there’s a difference), exercising more or just reading. Changing
so that you become a happier person that’s comfortable with being themselves
and not caring what anyone else thinks is where you should be. But even in that
place you should always know there are those who actually care so don’t push
them away if they give you advice, but listen and think it through before
taking action. Show them that you appreciate and care that they have spent the
time to help you out but NEVER feel pressured into doing anything you don’t want.
Know your worth. Whether in Christ or not. Know that you are worth everything
and you shouldn’t settle for any less.
Love, Ellah xx
