Friendship #2
Hiya guys!!
A few months ago I wrote a post on friendship as I felt that it was a topic that wasn't talked about enough. I wasn't planning on writing a second post on the topic but I felt that this peace of writing was something that I needed to share. In my school I am the worship rep so have to come up with a mini speech each week, and this is what I came up with. I hope it is beneficial and I'd love to hear your comments below.

Friendship
Better is open rebuke than hidden love. Wounds from a friend can be trusted, but an enemy multiplies kisses. Proverbs 27:5-6
In a society where everyone is reaching to be on top, we sometimes forget what truly matters in life. Friendship is one of these things that we forget. Through all the hustle and bustle, deadlines and work, we forget to think about the people who in a sense shape us, our friends. Friends are the people who will listen to us complain for hours on end without saying a word, the go to person when you find out the latest gossip, the person who holds you up when you’re down. When you think about it, we don’t do enough to celebrate the friendships we have and need to start doing so before it’s too late. This week, think about who your true friends are, the ones who you could ever live without and think about something you can do to celebrate them. It doesn’t have to be big, it could be a small meaningful act such as saying ‘thank you.’ Also look out for those who are may not be as fortunate to have friends and befriend them to brighten up their day.
Friendship is a single soul dwelling in two bodies - Aristotle
Prayer: Lord help us honour those who we hold dearly and be able to celebrate them not only this week, but always. Help us be good friends who are reliable and trustworthy but also people who look for those who may not have the same privileges as us who have friends. Amen
